Intel advances mobile 1GHz?

According to The Register, the German Media Markt is advertising a notebook computer based on the Pentium III 1GHz mobile chip. Intel Corp.'s WW51 roadmap, however, does not schedule the chip for release until March. Similarly, Dell Computer is advertising the 1.3GHz Pentium 4 processor, which is not due until the end of January. Either both companies have announced products prematurely or Intel is accelerating its ramp-up even farther to deal with competition from Advanced Micro Devices.
