Intel, Ericsson team on flash memory
Swedish telecommunications giant Ericsson has announced plans to work with Intel to develop next-generation flash memory products.
Ericsson and Intel said they plan to define new flash memories capable of storing code and data such as Internet Web pages, e-mail, voice, and music.
The collaboration will support new handset products that can take advantage of third-generation cellular networks that combine voice and Internet capabilities in a single portable device, Ericsson said.
