Insight offers "better than free" PC
Direct computer marketer Insight has upped the ante in the "free PC" craze, offering a package that actually nets customers $1.
Customers can receive an emachines etower 333cs, featuring a Cyrix MII-333 processor, 32MB of RAM, 32X CD-ROM, 2.1 GB hard drive and 56K modem for $474. The deal includes a $75 manufacturer rebate and an additional $400 rebate from CompuServe with a 3-year Internet service plan.
Also available from Insight is the emachines etower 366c ($100 after rebates) and the 400id ($199 after rebates). All three computers are available online at www.insight.com . Monitor, shipping and tax (where applicable) are not included.
