Inno3D's GeForce GTX 480 Boxed for Shipping

by - source: Tom's Hardware US

These guys have their bags packed and ready for a March 26 sale date!

We've already seen what Palit's GeForce GF100-based products, as well as EVGA's, look like when they hit stores. But now we have some photos from VR-Zone's forum showing Inno3D's GeForce GTX 480 product in boxes and ready to ship to meet Fermi's world debut on March 26.

Have you ever seen ATI pimp boxes before shipping product? This is sad really.

True, but this kind of marketing is very very cheap for them. Guess from their perspective, it won't put many people off of buying, but might make some others "excited" about it, or something.
Still, I do find this a little pointless.

Best box design so far!!

(If this site was about graphic design these 'box stories' might be more relevant!)

I think megafreak got it right, fermi has taken so long people have grouped them with unicorns and fairies, these box pictures are here to prepare us for the shock of when they actually ship.

I'm going to need to see some benchmarks for those boxes. Sturdiness, roughness, etc. I am excited about these cards. More so because I hope they will bring the price of the 5850 down a few notches.

I've waited so long in the hope that fermi would bring the price of ATi's 5000 series down that I'm not actually going to purchase either.
ATi's Northern Islands aren't far off now.

hmm are we sure that we are seeing these as preparation for the cards or are these made up to look like they are ready to ship. These might be press package boxes for people like Toms Hardware and we could be, that is Joe public waiting a little longer for them.

Interesting, can not see a company investing to early in packing if they are not sure of a close product release. I could be wrong however.
