Infrant moves upmarket with 3 TB, $4K media server
Fremont (CA) - Infrant Technologies today announced a "virtually silent" media server targeted at the audio/visual enthusiast home theater market.
The Infrant Repertoire Digital Media Server incorporates the company’s patent-pending X-RAID technology and IT3107 network storage processor along with a fanless cooling system, dubbed "Heatsync". The system is configured with four Seagate DB35 "DynaPlay"-enabled hard drives, has a gigabit Ethernet port and is managed via a web-browser based interface
The Repertoire supports all major operating systems including Windows, Mac OS X, UNIX and Linux as well as Slim Devices’ Squeezebox and Transporter, SONOS, Windows Media Center, InteractTV and "many other" home media devices.
The product will be available from select dealers, customer installers and Infrant’s Web site next month at an MSRP of $4000 for the 2 TB version and MSRP $5000 for the 3 TB version. Infrant is accepting pre-orders now.
