ICANN picks seven TLDs

The 19-member board of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has chosen .aero, .biz, .coop, .info, .museum, .name and .pro to be added as top level domain (TLD) names. The chosen TLDs still have to be approved by the US Commerce Department's National Telecommunications and Information Administration before they are officially adopted and recognized on the Net.
