ICANN officially approves .jobs and .travel TLDs

ICANN announced the designation of two new sponsored top-level Domains .jobs and .travel. The ICANN Board approved the designation at the 22nd ICANN International conference in Mar del Plata, Argentina.
As the process for selecting new sponsored top level domains continues from a pool of ten applications, ICANN said it has already entered into commercial and technical negotiations for, .CAT, .POST, and .MOBI.
Discussions continue among ICANN Board and Staff regarding the evaluation of five additional proposed sponsored top level domains .ASIA, .MAIL, .TEL, and .XXX, the organization said. (THG)
