ICANN chooses new chief
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has chosen the chief technical adviser for the University of California system as its new president and CEO. The board of directors for the Web's ultimate naming authority elected M. Stuart Lynn, a British-born Oxford mathematician and former professor, to run the controversial and frequently criticized organization.
