IBM will sell Linux laptops
Joining Dell, that began selling laptops loaded with Linux last February, IBM will begin marketing portables with the open source OS. The Thinkpads, to hit the market in the third quarter of this year, are aimed at computer professionals and scientists but IBM is also reportedly planning to release a selection of its small-business applications for Linux as well.
