IBM: Voice-based security two years away

IBM says it will be about two years before voice recognition functions could be ready for computer security applications.
While the technology is functioning, it needs more work before it can be released commercially, IBM officials said.
The company already has several voice recognition products in commercial release, including its ViaVoice application.
IBM is also working on other "biometric" features for computer security, including fingerprint identification.
