IBM takes recycling to the desktop
IBM has unveiled the world's first personal computer made from 100 percent recycled resin for all major plastic parts.
The Pentium III- and Windows NT-based IBM IntelliStation E Pro contains three and a half pounds of recycled plastic, making the PC more environmentally sound while lowering its cost. One of the machine's eight recycled parts is now 20 percent less expensive to manufacture.
More information on the $1,675 IBM IntelliStation E Pro with 450 MHz Pentium III is posted at http://www.pc.ibm.com .
