Ellen DeGeneres Made Apple Angry With Fake Ad
The other day, comedienne Ellen DeGeneres poked fun at the iPhone with her own spoof commercial for the 3GS. Unfortunately, Apple didn't exactly take it well.
Ellen DeGeneres Monday aired a spoof advertisement for the iPhone in which the talk-show host demonstrated how the touchscreen makes it very easy to accidentally launch the wrong apps or send text messages you hadn't finished typing.
However, it looks like the powers that be at Apple didn't find the joke funny. Yesterday, Ellen apologised for the video and explained that Apple had said her sketch made it look like the iPhone was hard to use. Ms. DeGeneres said she was sorry if it came across that way and assured audience members that she's a huge fan of Apple:
"I have an iPhone, Portia [De Rossi] has an iPhone. I just learned how to text on an iPhone; it's the only phone that I can text on and I love it. I love my iPad, I love my iPod. I love iHop if you have anything to do with that. So everybody at Apple, Steve Jobs, Mr. Macintosh, I apologize."

Bill: Hey guys, look, our Bluescreen is on TV!!
MS: Remember when we put that in for shits n giggles?
Bill: Good times. Good times.
LOL @ Clintino
She actually makes a good point about the positioning of the "send" button so close to the top of the keypad. I've often ended up sending a message when trying to type a "p" or "o".
And Apple really do need to develop a sense of humour, or some self confidence or both.
It sounds like Apple have kidnapped her children and are threatening to hurt them unless she apologises publicly.
Considering she's gay and I don't think her and Portia have adopted I think Apple's going after something else.
In all honesty Ellen is a sarcastic bitch at times with her humour but you'd know if she was actually attacking something - Apple are just being touchy bastards as usual the minute somebody dare publicly reveal a flaw or failing in one of their "magical" and "messianic" devices.
Mr gates never got wound up about the Blue screen gags.
I fondly remember the grand unveiling of Windows 98. Bill was demonstrating improved Plug and Play with a USB webcam. Stuck it in, Windows found the device and then promptly hit a BSOD half way through the driver install. The audience erupted in laughter and applause yet without missing a beat Bill smiled and said "well, I guess that's why we're not shipping it yet".
Steve Jobs, PLEASE grow the fuck up and chill the hell out.
/pats steve jobs on the head
there there. Here have a hot choclate and then you can go back to sleep.
@ LePhuronn
I couldn't help but laugh at that myself
Atleast with Windows 7 i've yet to see a (Gets BSOD)
"Gah Fucking Windows 7, GET BILL GATES IN HERE!!"
"You told me Windows 7 was my idea, and it'll never crash"
"It is with over a gazillion...(Bang)"
I changed it a little since southpark, but i hope you get the idea
@LePhuronn
You sure it was 98, I thought it was ME that crashed during a demonstration.

I think it was 98 because it was supposed to demonstrate the power of how far they'd pushed Plug and Play since it was introduced in 95, but I could be wrong.
No you are right,

I'm sure they had some problem with ME at a demonstration as well but I can't find the details of it.
The Apple Gestapo acted again... Heil Steve!
I agree with her! The screen is difficult to use at times and I'd prefer a stylus for doing more accurate stuff like texting. Swipes and pinches can only get you so far if you have larger fingers...
