VOTW: A 2-year-old Goes Hands-on with the iPad
Look away if you don't like seeing expensive gadgets in the hands of small children.
I'm all for introducing children to technology at an early age, but something about this video just makes me cringe. Are her hands clean? Is her little leg long enough to keep the iPad propped up or is going to fall? What if she drops it?
But being fair, this is actually an incredibly smart 2-year-old; she instinctively figures out how to enlarge regular iPhone apps and her experience and skills with her dad's iPhone carries over almost seamlessly. When I was two, anything handed to me was immediately shoved up my nose or crammed in my mouth and my favorite pastime was bashing things off the ground.
Check out the video below to see what this technologically inclined cherub makes of Apple's newest device. Oh, and if you needed anymore proof that Apple left out the camera so they could update the device again in a year this is it; it's the first thing she notices when she's handed the device.

OMG seriously can we stop the iPad stuff? i think from the comments that its clear everyone is fed up with it all. The only reason why Apple sells anything is because of sites like this constantly giving out free advertising. You have never given this much coverage to anything even fermi an i have to question why you think we care or how much your pocketing from Apple
I'm pretty sure the first thing she says is CN Tower, not "where's the camera"
Tom's Failware yet again.
Most pointless report to date.
Most pointless report to date.
Big deal, so the camera's the 2nd thing she notices, not the first, tom's was referring to the fact the girl say's "I want the one that takes a picture" when she's browsing through the apps, not the first thing she says.
My last comment meant for paradigital, not flaminggerbil

You know you can edit posts now, right?
You have never given this much coverage to anything even fermi
Despite the fact that a) everybody was moaning about Tom's doing endless Fermi reports about box shots and nothing and b) NVIDIA kept the whole thing under wraps until the last minute so there was nothing to report about anyway.
an i have to question why you think we care or how much your pocketing from Apple
So what else is going on in the tech world then?
Y'know, the only thing that annoys me more than padding news stories on a slow or singularly-focused week are people who bitch about it like children throwing unfounded accusations around.
Yeah OK, there's an argument to be made about the quality of Tom's writing these days and how a certain two authors always come across as having pro-Apple bias, but I guaran-damn-tee you that if Tom's didn't report on every iPad incident under the sun these past 2 weeks you'd complain that there's no new articles!
Don't like it, stop reading and leave or offer to write something yourself. NOTHING else is happening in the tech world right now, so live with it.
*breathe* bad day
Apple FAIL! (so does the child)

No, Toms is definitely not pocketing from Apple. Wired is. Tom's isn't. Wired was the only large news outlet that didn't pan the iPad in the early previews. Even Tom's had a bad word to say. Except one of the writers, can't remember his name, who is obviously just a fanboy.
