NAND flash separates Hynix from Micron
Although major memory makers Hynix Semiconductor and Micron Technology have been running neck in the global rankings for DRAM production over the past few years and the two companies reported similar revenue results last quarter, Hynix’ net profits were significantly ahead of Micron due to its success in the NAND flash segment.
Hynix had $1.43 billion in sales last quarter, slightly above the $1.2 billion Micron reported.
