Scientists develop Robot teddybear to monitor children's health
Scientists are developing a robot teddy bear which they hope will help monitor sick children and old people.
Huggable is a teddy fitted with sensors designed to respond to hugs from the owner and recognise its owner approaching.
Doctors hope that they can further develop the bear to alert medical staff of a change in a patient’s condition.
Huggable is being developed by the yanks across the way in MIT and UHI Millennium Institute but is supported by Highlands and Islands Enterprise. The bear will be further developed by a local company and then tested in the Highlands.
