HP splits PC, printer units
Five months after merging its PC and printer groups, Hewlett-Packard said it will split the unit and re-establish the two groups as separate businesses.
The move, seen as the first major decision by Mark Hurd, HP’s recently appointed chief executive, reverses one of the last major edicts made by former CEO Carly Fiorina.
