HP seeking to source LCD TVs from Taiwan
Hewlett Packard (HP) is seeking partners in Taiwan to produce LCD TVs, with AU Optronics (AUO) and Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) standing the biggest chance of receiving orders to supply panels for HP’s LCD TVs, sources claimed today. HP has sent RFQ (request for quotation) to Taiwan makers as it seeks to strengthen its LCD TV product line, according to the sources.
