HP creates iPaq business unit
Hewlett-Packard today said that the company will splits mobile computer business into a notebook and a separate handheld unit.
The company hopes that this move will enable the company "to capitalize on its strategy for growth in both the notebook computing and handheld markets, giving each unit greater financial and operational control of its respective business."
The department will be led by Dave Rothschild, who was appointed as vice president of the handheld unit.
