LAS VEGAS - Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft are teaming up yet again on what could be the next evolutionary step of the business desktop PC.
Named after the ancient Greek marketplace, the new "Agora" initative can be described as a "real time communications device for business," said Rich Dodds, who manages HP's workstations within its Access Business Group.
Right now this is a concept," Dodds said. "We'll deliver a functioning product to WinHEC (Windows Hardware Engineering Conference) next year, with a final product probably within the 2004 timeframe."
