As you can see, once cut, the newspaper will cover the hole, but still allow room for the tape to stick, which will hold the template in place while cutting.


Using one inch masking tape, tape around the exposed hole.


Here is a look at the drill and jig saw that we will be using. Notice we have proper safety glasses that should be used when operating any power tools. We will be using a 5/8" drill bit for the drill and a 36-tooth blade for the jig saw.


Place the drill bit 1/4" inside the fine line tape mark. You want to stay a 1/4" inside your tape line to assure a clean cut.
