Unreal Tournament 2004
Ad
Moving on from the synthetics, we come to measures of real world gaming performance. Most games are built inside a shell called an "engine", and over the years new engines have evolved as graphics hardware has improved. The first of the engines we have used in 2005 was the Unreal Engine, which has been the basis for a host of games. There are several versions of the Unreal Engine, including some that are still under development. Many games are based on one of the Unreal Engines and for this reason it is used in this line-up. We use a custom time demo for UT2004, set up in assault mode on the Fallen City map. We do not use bots but the graphics details are of course kept at their highest levels.
