Hotmail users exposed. . .again

by - source: Tom's Hardware

Microsoft's free e-mail service is under fire again, this time for a security hole that permits password interception.

The bug allows the sending of JavaScript code that could automatically present a bogus password entry screen. Usernames and passwords entered by unsuspecting Hotmail customers could be collected, leaving their e-mail accounts unprotected.

Microsoft said it is looking into the issue.

Earlier this month, Microsoft confirmed a different vulnerability that also used JavaScript for password theft.
