Wrappers Fire-Retardant Notebook Sleeves
Wrappers Fire-Retardant Notebook Sleeves
For some, the idea of sleeving a laptop in a corduroy wrap seems cutesy - the sort of thing a kitsch-loving pet owner does in dressing Fido up in a seasonal cotton sweater vest (with or without faux reindeer antlers). For others, accessorizing a notebook is vital to the well-being of both owner and object.

British retailer Wrappers offers the ultimate Christmas gift notebook accessory. Although it's designed specifically for MacBooks, it can accommodate other notebook makes and model with similar dimensions (your mileage may vary, as they say). We don't mean to imply that MacBooks are those most prone to spontaneous combustion, either. Dell notebooks have experienced similar issues and could also benefit from fire-retardant protective sleeves such as these, and recently notebooks from other vendors, such as IBM/Lenovo, HP, and Compaq, have also come in for recalls.
As you may have guessed, the sleeve is washable and resists losing its shape after washing. Each is padded with 2 oz of polyester to provide a cushion against light damage. An ultra-soft microfibre lining helps keep the surface of your notebook free from residual buildup (and the occasional fingerprint smudges). Not bad for what might otherwise be just a seasonal sweater vest for your notebook.
Furthermore, if you're one to give (or receive) monogrammed gifts, you can have your protective sleeve personalized. That way, you break up the monotony of monogrammed ties, hats, robes and bath towel sets with something a little more stylish and hi-tech.
Wrappers retails fire retardant notebook sleeves for 13", 15", and 17" MacBooks, in five autumn colours: raven, ivory, taupe, terra cotta and tobacco. You could mark off a few people on your Christmas list this holiday season by giving Wrappers sleeves to those who own and travel with their notebooks.
