Hitachi's Low-priced 19" Monitor
One of the coolest things about the advent of LCD monitors is that, if you can't afford one, you can now get a screamin' deal on a big CRT. Whether Hitachi's new 19" CM721F (18" viewable) flat-faced monitor is big enough or cheap enough is something that you'll have to decide for yourself but overall, CRT prices have definitely come down. The new CM721F has a dot pitch of 0.20 mm horizontal, 0.13 mm vertical and comes with Hitachi's five-year CRT monitor warranty. With a maximum resolution of 1600x1200 at a 75 Hz refresh rate, the Shadow Mask CM721F provides 202 MHz bandwidth, on-screen controls with adjustments for color temperature, trapezoid, parallelogram, and pincushion. The CM721F will begin shipping within the next 30 days and is priced at $299.
