Hitachi shows off 3Gbit/s SCSI data transfer
The storage division of Hitachi, or IBM as we used to call it, said it has managed to shift 3Gbit/s of data using the serial attached SCSI (SAS) protocol. "The engineers have succeded in demoing a link between two Hitachi hard drive controllers, including out of band signals, speed negotiation and an identify frame exchange."
