Hitachi redesigns tiny hard drive
Hitachi said it has released a re-designed 1.8" unit aimed at the consumer electronics market. The Travelstar CK460 series of little drives have a zero insertion force (ZIF) connector, and is smaller than previous versions at 3780 square millimetres and weighing 46 grammes.
