Hittachi's quarterly profits sharply lower
Hitachi’s fourth quarter 2006 profits were sharply lower, falling an incredible 77% from the previous period in 2005. The company made 1.26 billion yen profit which is around $10.5 million dollars. Hitachi is experiencing a modest growth in electronics sales and is the world’s third largest hard drive maker.
