Hitachi board of directors approves display business spin-off
Hitachi announced on June 20 that its board of directors has approved a plan to spin off its display business on October 1. The company said that an independent display company would facilitate faster decision-making and help to build its leading position in the global display market. The new company will be 100%-held by Hitachi.
