Hitachi announces 300GB enterprise harddrive
Hitachi announced the Ultrastar 10K300, a 300GB hard disk drive targeted at the enterprise sector. The 10,000 rpm device has begun shipping and is in the process of being qualified at major OEMs worldwide, according to teh company. Hitachi expects volume shipments of the Ultrastar 10K300 to begin in the second quarter of this year.
