The Canon and Epson printers are mentioned for the record. This test is mainly designed to compare prints by a photosmart 7760 with a photo cartridge + 1 color cartridge, and those of the photosmart 7960 with photo, color and gray cartridges.
The presence of the gray cartridge not only influences the quality of black and white prints but also improves color as well. The photosmart 7760 was very good, but you can see above that the 7960 with the gray cartridge is even better.
