More than 130 million HDMI devices to be shipped in 2007
More than 130 million devices featuring high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) are expected to be shipped in 2007, In-Stat was cited by HDMI Licensing as predicting. HDMI Licensing, the agent responsible for licensing the HDMI specification, has also announced that more than 500 manufacturers have adopted the standard, a 60% increase since the International CES in January 2006.
