HD RPTV sales surged 30% in August
Rear-projection HD (high-definition) TVs (RPTVs) in North America recovered from a weak performance this summer and jumped 30% for both units and revenues in August, according to research firm Pacific Media Associates (PMA). The overall average street price rose 0.5% in August, according to Rosemary Abowd, vice president of PMA.
