Transcend takes DDR2 to 1200 MHz
While some manufacturers try to force DDR3 into the market, Trancend understands that the majority of performance platforms still use DDR2.
The company’s aXeRAM is guaranteed stable to 1200 MHz data rate at CAS 5-5-5-15 and 2.20 volts, perfect for the overclocking efforts of many DDR2 users. These PC2-9600 modules are available as 2x 1 GB sets, using Micron D9 chips to enhance stability and finned aluminium heat spreaders for increased reliability. Inexperienced overclockers aren’t left out, as the modules also provide EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles) data for automatic enhancement under the "SLI Memory Mode" available in several nVidia chipset motherboards.

Is it time for another DDR3 grouptest?
I bought 4 gigs of the aXeRam PC2-9600 (1200MHz) for £170, stuck it in my Evga 680i board and started tweaking, reached 3-3-3-8 @ 800MHz using 2.0v, 4-3-4-8 @ 1066MHz using 2.0v, 5-4-4-12 @ 1115MHz using 2.0v, 5-5-5-15 @ 1200MHz using 2.2v, 5-5-5-16 @ 1312MHz using 2.2v.
All these settings got through various stress tests completely stable, other hardware used were X6800 cooled by a titan amanda tec cooler, PC P+C 850W PSU.
Would love to see a shoot out of the latest top spec ram (these included) with the likes of TWIN2X2048-8888C4DF thrown in, as far as i'm concerned for the price it's going to be hard to beat these clocks/timings as in bang for your buck.
