More handset vendors bank on ultra-low-cost market
More handset vendors and makers to join ultra-low-cost market which could reach 300 to 400 million units this year. Samsung will be the third major vendor, after Nokia and Motorola, to launch an ultra-low-cost phone using a single-chip solution. More expensive phones use multiple chips to handle graphics, sounds and other functions.
