Global handset panel shipments total 942 million units last year
Shipments for global handset-used panels (main display) in 2005 broke a record by topping 942 million units, up 32% from 716 million units in 2004, according to DisplaySearch. Shipments for this year will continue to rise and are expected to exceed 1 billion units.
