If you're looking to add a bit more functionality to your PDA, loading in a few additional utilities might make it perform a little more like a high-tech gadget and less like a glorified notepad. Handmark is now offering a discount price on a suite of ten applications for Palm OS devices, which the company says will save you around $100. The new Handmark MobileTools bundle is priced at $49.99 and can be downloaded as a single file with separate installs for Windows and Macintosh desktop computer users. The titles in Handmark MobileTools include Backup Buddy, a backup tool from Blue Nomad development; AutoSync for unattended syncing of PDA data and applications; TimeSync for synchronizing your PDA's internal clock to a Windows or Macintosh desktop; FilePoint, a file-management utility that lets you navigate folders and sub-folders via drag and drop; PrintBoy for printing to infrared-enabled printers; Handmark SuperUtility, a Palm OS tool to manage and test hardware resources; Handmark SuperClock, which turns the PDA into a large digital-display travel clock with multiple alarm sounds; Handmark CheckList, which replaces the single To Do list with a multi-level list management tool; and Handmark MobileSafe, an account manager that stores and encrypts user names, passwords, and Internet log-ins.
