Handheld Entertainment to launch download service for independent films
Handheld Entertainment, manufacturer of the ZVUE personal media player, announced plans to launch a digital download system that offers content from independent filmmakers from around the world.
The company said the ZVUE-enabled independent film site will allow "a tremendous amount of filmmakers and film lovers to display, download and enjoy the independent films through licensing partnerships with independent film digital download sites like StoryPipe.com." A licensing agreement StoryPipe.com was signed on April 18 ; similar contracts are expected to follow.
The content can be accessed via Handheld’s website at www.hheld.com . The download of movies is offered free of charge. (THG)
