Hackers break PlayStation2 DVD code
Three codes have surfaced that allow users of the Japanese-released Sony PlayStation2 to play North American DVDs.
Normally, DVDs are designed to work only within their geographic area, but apparently gamers have found a way to enter codes during the PlayStation 2 DVD bootup sequence in order to bypass DVD regional protections.
