H-P readies workstation for Discreet 3D
Hewlett-Packard and Discreet Software are working together to optimize HP's Kayak PC workstations for Discreet's 3D Studio product family.
The two firms kick off their new business relationship this week in Los Angeles with a joint user event and product demonstrations at SIGGRAPH 1999.
The Montreal-based Discreet, a division of Autodesk, develops systems and software for visual effects, 3D animation, editing and production used in the creation of digital moving pictures for video, HDTV, the Web, broadcast graphics, interactive games and feature films, including the last three years' winners of the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
