Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 PCB Blueprint Leaked?
Another Fermi readying up?
The GeForce GTX 460 is the Fermi that many of you were waiting for, and it was worth the wait. Nvidia isn't stopping there, however, as there are rumblings of a GeForce GTS 450 coming down the pipe.
Someone on the Chinese forum PCinlife posted a PCB design drawing of an unreleased and unannounced Nvidia card, which many believe is an upcoming GF106 chip.
Expreview notes that the front side can be equipped with 6 memory chips for 768MB. The card also appears to features 3+1 phase power design, a 6pin power connector, a SLI connector, and dual DVI+Mini-HDMI output. The site also notes that it'll also supposedly be released in August and card markers will be making up their own designs rather than following Nvidia's reference.

Another lower end one? I was hoping that they start showing the true power of the GF104 / GF106 by now. Then again I suppose they don't want to knock their GTX480 off the top but rather wait for ATI to do that.
Less than 1gb of memory just isn't worthwhile for today's games. ATI is releasing HD6000 by end of year. Nvidia better get with the program.

This time, they can't just add 2 GTX 480's together in one card or overclock a single 480 massively. If they did, it would require more power than a standard PSU can deliver and exceed workable thermal limits.
They need a new die design and it's pretty hard to conjure that out of thin air just a few months after finishing working on the 480 and derived products.
It'll come eventually, but I guess by then ATI will already be talking refresh...
Old news Toms, that pic was out a week ago.
455 and 450 both coming soon. one is a cut down 104 and the other is the new 106. That's according to the rumour mill anyway and the top end is looking like a twin card again. The 460 overclocked can eat a 470 for breakfast so 2 x 450/455 should get up to a 480 i would think/hope.

And what ATI card would that be? There are no plans for a refresh of the 5000 series in the coming 3 months and the current generation has every inch of the market covered. It's more likely that less popular models will disappear than that new ones are added.
