Grand Theft Auto trilogy package headed for holidays
New York (NY) - Rockstar Games, the publisher best known for its slate of controversial games, today announced three of its most famous/infamous titles, Grand Theft Auto 3, GTA : Vice City, and GTA : San Andreas, will be released in a trilogy bundle on 4 December, right in the middle of the holiday shopping frenzy.
As the first three PS2 games in the Grand Theft Auto series, the collection does not offer a lot of value. With San Andreas at "greatest hits" status, and the other two reaching legacy status, the trilogy release is more about pumping new life into the series than it is offering significant value.
This is believed to be Rockstar’s final new release of a PS2 product sporting the Grand Theft Auto title. With a strong connection to the Playstation brand, the publisher is planning to migrate to the PS3 as soon as it is released on November 17. Grand Theft Auto IV is planned for a late 2007 release on Sony’s next-gen platform.
