GSMC's first 8" fab to enter volume production 2H next year, not March
Nasa Tsai, president and COO of Shanghai-based Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (GSMC), confirmed that the company's first 8" fab, under construction in Shanghai's Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, will begin volume production in the second half of next year. This estimate is later than Tsai's previous statement in late March that volume production would begin in March 2003.
