Grantsdale and Alderwood-based APs to get hotspot management app.
Patronsoft just announced that its FirstSpot Wi-Fi hotspot management solution will be upgraded to support the software-based access points in Intel’s upcoming Grantsdale and Alderwood chipsets.
The Grantsdale and Alderwood compatible version of FirstSpot will include :
web-based authentication, with no client-side installation required anonymous mode support which requires no login credential apart from seeing a welcome page self signup accounts, pre-paid airtime credit and credit card payment through PayPal bandwidth throttling to avoid bandwidth abuse language packs for different countries RAIDUS-free support which eliminates the dependency on third party authentication servers total flexibility in customizing login and welcome pages
FirstSpot runs on top of Windows 2000 Professional/ Server, XP and Server 2003, currently works with any known models of wireless access points in the market and has versions priced at $225 and $995.
