Google updates "Mini" search appliance
Google today announced a slightly upgraded version of its "mini" search appliance. The device can now search multiple sites and is able to perform 25 queries per second. New features also include indexing of shared file systems to create an instant intranet, flexible scheduling for crawling processes, an improved administrator dashboard and SNMP monitoring for remote management as well as a search query and crawl reporting tool.
Pricing for the device remains at $2000 for an appliance that covers up to 50,000 documents, $3000 for up to 100,000 documents, $6000 for 200,000 documents and $9000 for 500,000 documents.
