Third generation G-NET CarPC released
Chicago (IL) - G-NET has today announced that its third generation of Windows XP based CarPC has gone on sale. The new model comes with a VIA 1.5 GHz C7 processor, which the company says is 50% faster than the previous model ; also, the 1 GB of RAM and 2.5" 60 GB hard drive speeds have also been increased, the company said.
The new model also integrates more GPS features as well as allowing one to watch video as well as listen to audio on the go, including a module for satellite radio. The CarPC also has car diagnostic utilities built in.
The system uses a customised user interface on a 7", 8" or 10.4" LCD screen and is powered through a 12V DC power supply which works in conjunction with the cars ignition.
