GM redefines info superhighway

General Motors introduced three new services to keep drivers connected while commuting.

"Personal Calling" is a hands-free, voice-activated cell phone service, while "Virtual Advisor" will read e-mails and other information from the Internet such as sports scores and stocks. Both services will be available later this year.

GM also will offer on the 2001 Cadillac Seville and DeVille luxury sedans a voice-controlled Infotainment System, including a color screen navigation system with radio, CD-ROM, Internet e-mail access and voice memo recorder, at a cost of about $2,000.
