by - source: Tom's Hardware US

Here is your chance to win a new motherboard and USB 3.0 compatible storage, even if you live in a special state or province.

Want to upgrade your interface to SuperSpeed? Gigabyte is holding a contest where the three winners will get to take home with them the latest Gigabyte H55M motherboard and an A-Data NH01 portable hard drive.

Gigabyte calls its contest "Increase Your Speed, Triple Your Power" and asks enthusiasts to submit their ideas of what would be the best use or concepts for USB 3.0 devices or USB devices that can take advantage of a 3x USB Power Boost. Submissions to Gigabyte can be use videos, pictures, or just a description of the device. Visitors to the contest website then have the ability to vote for their favorite concepts up to 10 times per day.

Those who vote also have a chance to win, as Gigabyte is also holding a draw for three voters to win yet-to-be-released Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 motherboards based on the AMD 880G North Bridge and SB850 South Bridge.

Besides just outside votes determining three winners, Gigabyte will also play judge by awarding entered concepts points based on creativity, originality and design, with the top 3 concepts chosen by the company winning a Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 motherboard and A-DATA N002 Combo Flash Drive.

Perhaps the best news of all is that this contest is open to worldwide participation. Check out the contest website here.

^ In that case I won't even bother. Managed to grab a Fun Lovin' Criminals t-shirt thrown into the crowd at the weekend, so I won't be winning anything else this decade...
