Gigabyte intros SLI mainboard
Gigabyte follows Asus as one of the first manufacturers to offer a SLI-capable mainboard to run two graphics cards. The GA-K8NXP-SLI board was introduced as a member of Gigabyte’s 8Ó series and is positioned as high performance motherboard.
The product is based on Nvidia’s nForce4 chipset and integrates PCI Express, Serial ATA II, NV firewall, and support for AMD Athlon64 and 64 FX processors. Additionally, the board integrates Dual Gigabit LAN functionality to provide simultaneous WAN and LAN connections.
The GA-K8NXP-SLI comes standard with a networking security solution based on the Nvidia’s NV Firewall and Symantec’s Norton Internet Security. (THG)
