German courts mandate eBay to block harmful listing to kids
Berlin (Germany) – The German Federal Supreme Court has ruled that eBay must remove listings that contain items that are “morally harmful” to teenagers and kids. The listings would include such things like violent or pornographic videos. The court also ruled that the company must investigate sellers more thoroughly.
eBay does not have to screen listings, but the court said that it must promptly remove those items after a complaint is filed.
