In F.E.A.R. we see a similar dynamic. The score for 1024x768 without image quality enabled shows that the EVGA 8600 GTS beats the Sapphire by 12 frames a second. However, as we step up the resolution, the card only wins by 2-3 frames. With image quality enabled, the 8600 GTS has a hard time keeping up with the Sapphire. At 1280x1024 it is 11 frames slower and at 1600x1200 it cannot even stay above 30 frames a second more than 50% of the time.
